Periodontics (gum treatment)

Periodontics refers to all the treatments to remove calculus and bacterial plaque that threaten not only your teeth and your gums, but also your general health. Periodontal diseases (bacterial infection of the gums) are indeed an adverse factor for respiratory infection, cerebral embolism and heart problems, among others.

The routine check-up with your hygienist is designed to control your overall oral health, with a special focus on periodontics. Our team of hygienists can, during this regular visit, provide you with more advanced periodontics treatments if required.

When the situation becomes more critical, if the bone's health is threatened and your teeth may become loose, our dentists will take over and perform periodontal surgery.
